Human have been in this planet for thousands of years. There has been wars, suffering, you name it. God still remains a mistery, there are thousands of religions, muslims are positive their God is the real one, Christians think it Jesus, Jehovah's Witnesses like the Jews think God is Jehovah the God of Abraham, but Jehovah's Witnesses unlike Jews believe Jesus is Gods Son and the promised Messiah.

Anyway, Why do you think God, whoever he is, has abadon his creation? What is the purpose of this life? Is there any point to this period of time? What do you thinks he is trying to achieve? Can you think of a logical reason why he would just leave us like this?

This is a very good question. I'm sure Christians and those who are not, ask it. I'd be lying if I said different. But thinking about how to answer your question I thought back to Genesis. Why did God Create Adam? Woman (Eve)? He first created Adam for fellowship or relationship. Remember God's garden walk? It was to enjoy relationship with a being higher than the Angels. One who had the characteristics of God himself. We are not puppets forced to love God. It is a choice. Forced love is not a love even a man would want. Eve was created when God saw man needed relationship with a suitable being. So when the choice was made to reject Gods wishes, He, being God had no choice but to honor his own words. You eat this - you'll surely die. We've been paying the price ever since. Christ changed that by giving us all a choice as to whether we will accept God's generous offer to be restored to relationship once again. He explains His long wait by saying His will is that all men come back. But He knows many men will choose their own way just as Adam did. There will come a day when the last Gentile (Rom 11:25) will come in and then the clock starts ticking again. Israel becoming a nation is a hint as to how close it is. Do you see the word here the runs throughout this long post? * Relationship * Our time here now is to learn that and do what Christ said. Go out - tell others. Struggle always brings character and maturity. We will have struggle.

Adam and Eve wanted to decide for themselves what was right and wrong. So they given free will chose to sin.
Many others have followed their course of rebellion..
But God has allowed enough time to show man kind is not able to rule himself.
we have had many governments and powers from Kings to pharoah to emperior. To a democratic government.
Like Dr. Phil says: "how is it working for you?"
Never has there been a time of peace of happiness on this earth.
But he promises in the future to change all that and bring about a peaceful earth. Psalms 37:9,10,11 Says the wicked will be destroyed and the righteous will live forever upon the earth.
As Jesus said, "the meek will inherit the earth."
We have come into a time period called the last days.
It is a time when we need to think about a good relationship with God. Time to find out for yourself who is the true God?
(Matthew 24:21-22) 21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.

Man was created to live forever, a spirit housed in flesh, but because Adam disobeyed God with one simple test, sin entered the human race. God in his goodness and wisdom already prepared a plan of escape. That is, the Word would become Flesh and walk among us to show us the way and to be a propitiation for our sin in to restore fellowship that we had in the beginning. Since God is a Spirit and must be worshipped in spirit and heaven is a spiritual place for spiritual people we need a redeemer so we can live with God. At this point and time we were given the Gospel, you either believe or you don't. God is waiting patiently for everyone to hear the Gospel around the World. It is his time table. A thousand years is like a day and a day a thousand years to him. I'm told that once everyone on this planet has knowledge of the Gospel, God will return. No one knows that hour or day. Meanwhile, through the Gospel he is separating the goats (unbelievers) from the sheep (believers)

God gave us all things. Originally the world was created perfect, without sin. Mankind screwed that up and have been screwing it up ever since. Did cause the wars? Did God MAKE people fight each other? God didn't abandon us. We have the Holy Spirit to guide us, if we'd only listen and let Him. We have the Bible. We have the Church just find one that follows the Bible and teaches it properly. My personal opinion would be Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Baptist. God gave us eternal, perfect, beautiful, salvation through Jesus Christ. God gave us all we need but have we followed the rules? Do people still steal, lie, kill commit adultery?? Yes we do. Is it wrong? Yes Do we know these things are wrong and were not to do them? Yes. But we still keep right on screwing it up. God /Jesus IS going to come back again. It's not over...

God loved all of us in a preparative way before we were ever created. He fashioned the earth so it could support our lives perfectly. He designed us to enjoy it through the senses of taste, touch, sight, hearing, and feeling and maybe even some other ways we aren't totally aware of. His very plan was motivated by kindness, love and understanding, among other things. Then, Satan made himself envious of God and lied about God. All the angels were watching. God loves them too and knew that to just destroy Satan would always leave doubt in the minds of those angels. So, he decided to let the drama unfold but not without a safety net--a perfect man to be sacrificed in place of the perfect man who was no longer perfect. This new Adam ("the second Adam") would have to be prepared for the challenge. Plus, how would the humans yet to come be aware of the true depth of the danger if they did not see the results of the first Adam's imperfection?? God, in his wisdom, decided to let men multiply as imperfect. After all, there was nothing they could do to hurt the earth or God's plan for it which God could not undo. So, he gave us time--time with Satan influencing people and time with man reaping the results of his imperfection. Soon, God will act to undo the damage. Those who have died as a result of Adam's sin will be resurrected. Satan and his demons will not be allowed to influence men. God's Kingdom government in heaven with Jesus as it's princely ruler will put all things back the way God originally intended for them to be. God hasn't left us. God loves us and he will soon act in a visible way to right all the wrongs. Believe it!!!

>>"Jews think God is Jehovah the God of Abraham,"<<

I am not sure if its purely semantics or not,... but this is not exactly right.

Jewish people do not use terms like "jehovah" by jewish tradition/custom/belief you do not even attempt to pronounce the tetragrammaton, on the principle that you will almost certainly would have it wrong, which would be offensive to God. and if you DID happen to be right it'd be like having a nuke detonation switch on a toddler's toy... is extremely powerful and not something to mess with.

but that aside, he didn't abandon it at all, everything happens for a reason, for a purpose. its like... going through school. theres lots of good and bad things between kindergarten and graduating. but its all for a purpose. ... even... if not ESPECIALLY the ones that are bad... the questions gotten wrong, tests failed... ect.

Logically, God has never abandoned His creation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has made 14 covenents with His chosen people. His people divided at the time of Jesus, some people followed Jesus and they started the Christian church (Catholic actually) and some didnt believe Jesus and they are still waiting for the Messiah to appear to them. All other religions made up their gods or took the original holy scriptures and changed them to suit their own lifestyles. But no matter how many religions there are and how many non-believers there are. God still exists.

Everyone has a purpose and we are to find ours ourselves. That's a personal journey. It's simply called FAITH. Either you have it or you don't. No one can teach faith to you. I think many people don't have faith or don't want to have faith because they are scared of the concept of giving themselves to God. To let God be their will. Human egos can get very high.

God simply created us out of love. He is God and He can do whatever He wants for whatever reason. He never has to justify Himself to us. If He wants to create a planet with just flowers and butterflies, He can. Or a planet with just water and ice, He can. Or a planet with only Asian people, He can. He can do whatever He wants. God is here. You just have to open yourself up to Him and listen. He usually speaks with a whisper. A feeling.

God never leaves His creation unless His creation leaves Him first.

Well if you want a Christians perspective: God has not abandoned us. He has left us a promise of the return of His Son. Jesus left us with the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been giving to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.'"

That pretty much sums up our job here for the moment. I hope I helped you understand, I'm willing to answer anything else you wish to know. Thanks for your time.

Many people get confused on the same questions as you are asking. there is only one God: the Creator of the Universe, the Lifegiver and our Saviour.

God does not cause suffering, He is a God of love! It is the absence of God and the prescence of evil that causes all the rubbish we have around today. God has not abandoned us, however...in fact quite the opposite.

Right now God is in Heaven but is always looking down on Earth, waiting for someone to accept Him. He has promised that He will return one day soon to take those who love Him home, to heaven. It is because of sin that we are stuck in this mess and God is trying to save us...it was never meant to be this way...God created us perfect.

Our life here on earth is only probationary, to see what we are like (if we love God or if we have the same spirit of rebellion like satan). God longs to take every one of us home but it is our call, our choice.....will we accept Him???

Signs and prophesies are fulfilling...according to the Bible....and there isn't going to be much more time on this world left. God is coming back!!!

Please read your Bible and be ready for that day
thankyou for your question and may you find God

God bless

God's purpose is to bring about man's eternal life. If we spent all of eternity floating around on clouds, we could never progress to be worthy of entrance into heaven. We were sent to earth to be tested, to gain experience, and to exercise faith. Just keep chuggin' along, buddy.
