I live an hour or more away from any malls or anything, and I am not wanting to spend a ton of money. I have never used self tanners, but I want to start. I could also use advice on how to use them.

Jergens is awesome! Careful around your toes, heals, elbows and knees, but it's subtle. As you continue to use it, it gets darker, but very natural. It's available in different skin tones as well. Works really good on your face too!

Jergens "natural glow" or Dove "Energy Glow" from walmart..
the one i liked best was "skin so soft", its a "satin glow daily body moisturizer " by avon though , you don't have to drive anywhere to get it, just go to www.avon.com and order it. Personally, out of every single self tanner i have tried, i think this one works the best and isn't as sticky and stuff as the other one... it leaves your skin extremely soft

Jergins natural glow is good. They make one for the body and one for the face. Gives one a healthy look not orange look.
