Cause I mean if u are 17 and ur boyfriend is 18 how is that Satutory rape. I mean itz just one year older. I don't feel that 3 years apart is bad when ur not legal. As the boy being 20 and u 17. Thatz not bad. does any one agree??

That's not always the case. Statutory rape has various "levels" depending on the ages of both people (a 14 year old with a 30 year old is going to be a bigger problem than a 17 + 19 year old). Also, it's a problem if the older person is in a position of authority- teacher, coach, boss. Different states also have different laws.

well, its still illegal. does'nt really matter what we think. if we thought stealing a loaf of bread to feed a starving family was not so bad, it would'nt matter cuz its still illegal. I dont agree though. You need to be older to know what your doing. 18 is a good benchmark cuz most ppl are almost out of high school and have an idea of what they wanna do with their lives. their minds are more matured.
The situation described above is legal in Texas though. Because in Texas, a girl at age 17 can have consensual sex as long as the guy is no more than two years older.

That is dumb but **** it! Me and my man are very happy and he's 29, I'm 23 and we first got together when I was 17. But No I don't think y'all would get in trouble at all, it's 1 years difference.

i got my gf pregnant when shes 17, that was ten years ago and she is doing ok, but I know that it hasn't been easy for neither of us.
what i am trying to say is WAIT
rape by your bf is the least you should be worying about
