Firstly I think you are trying to say that no one WANTS you to like him, not WHAT! It all depends on what sort of a person he is, there may be a good reason they don't want you to like him! You haven't really explained the situation much so I just have to tell you to trust your own instincts, the way you feel about him. Is he worth losing your friends etc for? there is probably a reason as to why no one wants you to be with him. people outside of the relationship usually see things much more clearly. take a step back and it's very likely that you will figure out why people have negative feelings about him. they care about you and want the best for you. if you find that there really is no reason, then don't worry about what others think, they might be jealous. :)

it's only important what YOU want.. but if your friends don't like the guy and are close minded so that they just make it harder to be with him, then you're gonna have a rough time. You need to have a heart to heart with your friends and let them know that this is not their choice, it's yours, and if they really care about you they will support you no matter what.
If not, then you know what kind of friends you have. But also listen to WHY they don't like him. Sometimes friends have really good points.

you remind me of my friend, she loves her bf but his friends keep tellin him to dump her cause she's kind weird sometimes. Anyway, just ignore everyone else, if you really care about your bf then you shouldn't worry about what everyone else says or thinks, it's your relationship and your guy tell them to mind their own business.

dont give in to peer pressure. if ur friends keep teasing u bout it, just tell them that u do like him, so could they stop doing that. explain to them. if they rly r ur friends, they'll get the message and stop doing taht

go with you, don't date someone because someone said so. or do't date someone because one of your friends or someone you know doesn't like them. If you like him date him
