pretty soon im going to be 16 and im going to be driving. in my backyard sits a 1991 chevy beretta, it doesn't need to to much work just mayb some appearence work. is that car woth fixing up? or should i look into something newer

its not a bad idea for u to get an older bigger car as chances are u will have an accident anyways. but i wouldnt go that old as they dont have air bags. save some money and try for 1995 or newer as they have dual airbags. and as long as u are going big and ugly, get a ford taurus. they are probably the cheapest. ABS brakes are a good idea too! good luck with your search. and while u are day dreaming about cars check out the sale sites on the web like: livedeal.com or autotrader.com

some one i use to work with had one and still dose and they side it was a good car. any car what lastes 16 years should be kind of good. cus if it was a bad car it wouldn't be around i got a 1990 Dodge Omni and it's a good lit car just needs some work hear and there

If youre going with something that old you will want a Toyota or Honda, they run forever. You'll be dumping more money into an American car that old than its worth.

I wouldnt put my 16 year old in a 17 year old car

NO!!! the car is like the age of your kid the car is bound to die VERY soon... buy a newer model [ a 2001to 2007] i suggest a honda accord that was my first car and it was PERFECT!

It's good if you do not want him to go very far, since it will prabably break in half or blow the engine. And you won't have to travel far to get him...........a plus. Try to find a high mileage Toyota or Honda at least you know they are reliable.

i wouldnt buy it for a 16 year old boy because it does have speed but if you have a girl i dont think she will be in no races but boys i dont know
