I have been adding flax seeds to my food lately, about a teaspoon each day.
What is it doing for me? How is it helping?

Is it possible that it is making my hair oily?

Flax seeds have a lot of protein and vitamins. They promote healthy brain cells, boost immunity and give you healthy skin. You shouldn't cook with it though, because that can turn the healthy fats into bad ones. Since it helps your skin I don't think that it would make your hair oily.

Flaxseeds and Flaxseed Oil are known for protecting your heart and keeping it healthy. Usually, about 2 Tablespoons of the seeds is a normal daily dose. You can also buy the seeds ground up and it's called Flaxseed Meal, in the health food section of the grocery store. My heart doctor told me to take three 1000mg. capsules of Fish Oil (Omega-3's and very good for your heart health) and two 1000mg. capsules of Flaxseed Oil every day, and my heart is healthy with very little plaque.

You get the most benefits from flaxseeds but only if they are ground.

Otherwise they pass through the body undigested. like corn
