I think it is all but impossible. Too much baggage on both sides. But I suppose it could happen. Not with me though.

A little but I think every guy wants to keep a girl as a friend unless the relationship was a total disaster.

It hasn't been for me--close friends with 2 of my exes, BUT it didn't happen right away. We had to get past the pain and anger first, 3-6 months. I have had two great friends,though, one for the last ten years, the other for almost 20.

It depends on how the relationship ended, what yall were feeling for each other during the relationship, and if you decide that you two could agree on still talking and being cool with eachother

I don't think its difficult, but for me it was because I made an extremely dumb mistake by moving in with an ex-girlfriend and trying to continue our platonic relationship.
Just don't move in with him/her.

it depends on how you ended you relationship-if it was on good terms than it shouldn't be so diffucult(except for the jelousy feelings when other girls come into the picture). if it ended on bad terms well that may be difficult but i beleive it varys on the whole situation and the people involved in the situation.

I think it becomes difficult if either one of you meet a new romantic partner-- to be friends with someone you used to have a relationship with while you're with someone new is going to be awkward.

I strongly don't believe in this, as it can ruin future relationships.
It also show signs of wanting to stay in touch just in case you want to try again. Clean breaks are best for all.

for me it's not if you ended your relationship in good terms but if you had a big fight with your ex deffinitely you'll have a hard time. but time can tell!
