I have some stuff that i have had for a while and i want to know if it should be thrown away or is it ok to eat when its 3-5 years old. If its 2-3 years old is it ok to eat. i have two year old halloween candy and 4 year old christ mas candy. Should i throw it out?

I think chocolate has a pretty long shelf life. the best way to tell is on personal taste. if it tastes okay then it is good to eat. usually when chocolate gets too old it tastes gross, so you should be able to tell.

I wouldn't eat it, treat yourself to some fresh. But I have a great idea for you, I always save our old candy and at Halloween when the kids who are 17-20 and come to the house or just the plan rude kids, I have the "special" old stuff for them. Hence the name Trick or treat!

Umm, i think yu shouldnt eat any thing that is over adateing on those old candies and chocolate might be so old already that might taste weired and nastey . if i was you i will just throw them all away and buy a new brand candies bags instead so they can taste more better and delious and fresh .

THROW IT OUT!!! Chocolate consists mainly of cocoa butter... like any other lipid, it can and will become rancid over time. Even more so with White Chocolate as it contains more cocoa butter than dark or sweet chocolate. A general rule of thumb I use as a professional chef.... "when in doubt, throw it out" Hope this helps

I would throw it out. Chocolate does have a shelf life, about six to nine months.

It is okay to eat the chocolate, it won't make you sick or anything but the chocolate will appear to be white but that is what time does to chocolate but i would prefer to have it earlier for the freshness and the taste!

Just throw it out....Why would you save it that long?If you save tcandy that long...... I'd hate to see the inside of your refrigerator.....

You can if its been wrapped really well and frozen. But I wouldn't.
