On your wires I would rub tobasco sauce over them or something nasty or hot to the taste. As for the shoe laces, either spray her with water when she comes near the shoes, or, keep the shoes in a closet where she can't get to them.

For her own safety, you have to keep these things out of her reach. A cat who eats string tends to swallow it in fairly long lengths and it can get bound up, and then you're facing surgery. (In case you didn't know that.)
So keep anything stringy out of her reach. It may be inconvenient, but put the shoes up on or in something so she can't get at them.
As to the wires, there are products you can buy at any pet store that you rub on them. It tastes foul and will discourage the cat from chewing. There are likely household recipes you could come up with as well, probably containing pepper or something.
EDIT: I assumed you meant your cat is CHEWING on these items, not scratching them. If I was wrong, never mind!

My cat loves wires but not shoes when my cat goes over to the wires we just give her a stern look and go no what are you doing in a tone that she knows that you mean business - she soon knows not to do it.

scratch post is a good idea, usually by three years a cat has grown out of the 'silly' stage.
try a few toys and maybe she is craving attention.
some people like to keep a squirty bottle of water handy and give the mog a quick squirt whenever they go near something they should not.....does not harm the cat and a damn sight better than the boot up the rear end i would normally advise ;)

cats are really fond off many things because they are innocent, they just wanna play with those things they see... but as soon as they are used on seeing that object they will leave them alone so if you want them to stop messing up with your stuff you can train them or make a sound that will ask them to stop

Keep her in an area that does not have any leather, and when she goes to places with leather, cover them with something, like a thick blanket.

Get her a scratching board and put a dash of catnip on it. I worked for my at Herbert. Scratching is something they have to do for there claws so shes not going to just stop.
