My hair used to be nice and thick but, as I've gotten older, it's turned baby fine and breaks off very, very easily! Ugh! Last time I got a perm, I got so much breakage that it really made my hair look funny with this short straight stuff coming up in the middle of the longer, older, curled hair. Any ideas?

Health food stores sell "Hair and nail" vitamins, which contain keratin and the protein needed for healthy hair and nails. They work great because they give your hair the ingredients needed to grow healthy and shiny, so it's healthy fromt he inside out.

Also try doing a hot oil treatment with olive oil, its great for the hair because the warmth opens up your follicle and allows the oil to absorb, aplly the warm oil to your hair, cover with a plastic cap for 30-45 mins, wash and condition your hair, it'll be incredibly soft and shiny..

i recently use Himalaya protein shampoo with chickpeas and sesame, it worked great for my thinning and hair loss. My girlfriend on the other hand have been using Crowning Glory from the pharmacy. It comes in capsules and hair tonic. She's got beautiful hair.
