Truth be told, I don't like how church has become a religious event instead of coming together to worship and learn about God. I find it very discouraging when we spend more time on being religious instead of serving God.
Though, there are many how points to church. Like the ability to worship Him and to be taught the word of God.

The No 1 Reason Why I Absobloominlutely Hate Going To Church Is The Re-Hashed Sermons That The Priests E-Mail To Each Other Like Baseball Cards. "Ooh, You Have The New Version Of The Prodigious Son? Dude I'll Trade Ya! This Sunday Is Sooo On!"

My dislike is the phony play church that is prevelant in the majority of a congregation such as the Sunday fashion show. Hypocrisy was Jesus' chief complaint about the Pharisees. Walk your talk (faith), I most like those meetings that I have been to where I have been shown Love, acceptance, and genuine concern.

What I dislike is when the preacher gets in front of the people and says"I woke up this morning and pulled out my check book and wrote a tithe to God".
What a Crock
So everybody in Church is now ready when the plate goes by to put your heart in it and by the way my check bounced,.

If anyone has ever read the book "Interview with the Vampire", you should notice that in one part of the book he goes into a church and realizes that he is the only para-natural being in the church! (He's a vampire at this point) There was no God in the church! I personally feel like the very life is being sucked out of me but, that's just me.

I love everything about going to church. The church that I attend isn't the least bit boring to me at least. I go to a Pentecostal church. What most people refer to as Holy Rollers. I'm peculiar, yes, but I love the Lord and I am not afraid to say it!!!! In the church I attend, there is no particular "amen corner" like in some. If you feel like shouting, you do it. It's a wonderful experience. I love learning more and more about the Bible and my Lord Jesus.

My dislike although, God has helped me through it, is singing the same verse of a worship/praise song 20 times! I think 3 times for one song is enough. But I guess others enjoy it. Another is the Pastor telling me to say something to the person sitting next to you. Really uncomfortable for me but I try to go along with it.

Even though there are alot of very nice people that go to my church, I hate all the judging. I hate sitting down in a pew with my husband and step-kids and hearing two old women in front of me discussing what we're wearing ... or about how we didn't come last Sunday. Sometimes, I feel like its blocking me from worshipping like I should.
Also, I don't like that many members -- including my pastor -- don't agree with alot of my interpretations of my faith ... and that they automatically assume that they are right and I am wrong, and that I'm in need of alot of prayer. Don't get me wrong, I do need prayer, but not about changing my faith to make everyone else happy.

I hear a lot of people complain about the phony people they put up with at church. If sermons go on for too long they can put people to sleep. I don't like the hell-fire and brimstones type of sermon. Realistic sermons are a lot better.

Well, when *I* went as a child, I got massive allergies from the dust that had gathered up in the church, the guy was boring (talk talk talk talk talk... BORING), I pretty much fell asleep... or sneezed the whole time. The pencils were never sharpened...
