For a dog, white chocolate is much better than dark because it contains so much less coco and caffeine- the ingredients that are toxic to dogs. However, giving it to them constantly is definitely not a good idea. It still has some coco and caffeine and, as with all human foods, the rule is always in moderation. Depending on his/her weight(larger dogs can take more than smaller), your dog will get sick if you give it to him too much.

I wouldn't give any chocolate product to a dog. Regular chocolate is toxic, so why take the risk?

Don't try it. You should never feed people food to dogs. However, lots of pet food companies make "chocolate" doggie treats, usually made with carob that are dog friendly. If you insist on giving a dog chocolate, do it that way.

dogs cannot have any type of chocolate, its a poison to their system. The problems with large amounts of chocolate appear quickly , but even with small amounts it will do damage to some or all of there major organs in time.

yes, although it is not healthy for them. White chocolate is NOT chocolate at all, it a sweet confection.
So if Rover got into your stash of white chocolate, you don't need to be as alarmed as if it were milk/dark or other real chocolate. However, Rover may still vomit from all that sugar.

Yes. White choclate is not made from cocoa, it is made from sugar. While I woulnd't feed my dog a white chocolate candy bar, you can buy dog biscuits dipped in white chocolate and they are perfectly harmless.
