Making a big batch of trail mix and then packing it in individual plastic bags would probablt be great. There's something for everyone in trail mix. You could include any of the following:
-small pretzels
-cereals (Chex, Cheerios, Life, etc.)
-chocolate chips
-granola
-m&m's
-dried fruit
-almonds
-raisins
-mini marshmallows
Just make sure you find out about any allergies ahead of time!
If you want to bring fruit, I suggest grapes. They're a simple food to bring because you can wash them ahead of time and then just bring them along - there's no cutting or peeling to worry about.
Try a snack twist on any sandwich you think the kids will like. Lightly fill tortillas with fillings such as peanut butter & jelly or turkey and cheese, roll up into a log, and then cut straight down into pin wheel shapes.
Animal crackers are a great snack, and they're something almost everybody will eat. You can buy large containers at almost any grocery store and then pack them in smaller bags.
Mini muffins can be healthy but tasty at the same time :) They're sold in snack packs, but you can also make them at home in a mini muffin tin. Here are a few recipes...

Try some dried fruit, no sugar added is best choice, like raisins , dates, apricots, pineapple and maybe some unsalted nuts.
I would always ask every parent about any allergies first and foremost since that can be so serious.
If you have space maybe some snack yogart, most of them can survive under cooler conditions.

Pretzels are fine. There are these graham cracker sandwich things that already come made and wrapped. They are peanut butter and jelly in between two graham crackers, they come wrapped. But I wouldnt know where you could get them from. Sorry.
Individual packs of trail mix. Just check if anyone is allergic to peanuts for the second two that I suggested.
Try to bring things that you can carry in your backpack and that do not need to be refrigerated.
