my 2 months old chihuahua puppy`s leaking urine whenever i pick him up or if he`s been scared. is this normal for puppy?

excitement causes this. . have patience when trying to house break the puppy.do not yell or hit. just use a firm strong voice and please always give a treat when doing good. he needs to learn bladder control. put him outside often to keep the bladder emptied. he is still young

This is typical for small dogs that tend to be shy. Chihuahuas especailly. Consult your vet to make sure hes just "submit peeing" and doesnt have a medical issue. If its just him submitting to you then when he figures out your not gonna hurt him he will stop. Its just a puppy thing! Dont worry! He will grow out of it!

I had a dog that did this (leaking urine)..a vet checked her out, and she was hooked up wrong...her urine went straight to the exit and bipassed the bladder.
it could be fear or excitement (dogs will often urinate when frightenened.) but first before anything else..take puppy to vet and have him checked out.

Yes. Alert your veterinarian just in case. It is because the puppy gets excited.

ok so if it when you just get home your chiwawa has been in alday and its just so excited he cant hold it in like when your laughing to hard...
also i have noticed almost all puppies do this also my male dog does it more
