I want to do something this summer that invovles animals (mostly reptiles) and i can't find any camp or event that is in my area that studies or looks at animals. Can someone tell me a good camp like this for teens (And please no horseback riding...) Please have the location in southern Califronia

SeaWorld San Diego has some camps that sound like lots of fun. There are day camps, one-night camps, and multi-night camps from which you can choose. Check out the link to the SeaWorld Education Camps page below.

The zoo ideas above are good, but also check into Moorpark College (in Ventura County). They have a teaching zoo - they mostly have exotic animals, don't know about the reptiles, but they do have a camp that looks like it is geared toward teens.

Try the Wildlife Waystation as a volunteer.

The Moorpark Teaching Center, but I don't think they have much in the way of reptiles.

The Living Desert Museum around Palm Springs.

Also, contact the Southwest Herpetologist Society to see if they have any suggestions.
