Exercise has been proven to boost blood flow, relieve stress and help people sleep better. It can also perk you up in the middle of a long workday, and even a few minutes a day is beneficial. So when a mid-afternoon slump hits, or when the after-dinner ate-too-much lethargy sets in, take a quick walk around the block to get your circulation moving. The upshot is, better blood flow will boost your energy level for your next round of tasks.

Hmmm....when I run I usually just kinda tune/zone out. I think its that when your excersicing your concentrating on just that and nothing else, which can be kinda peaceful.
Some other things that you can do to relieve stress is drink at least one cup of tea (some form of green tea, or just plain old green tea, which is my personal favorite) a day, read (also, becuase your concentrating on something else), and stretch. I also have started trying to solve my old rubik's cube lately, and oddly enough, that has been pretty relaxing. I know, it sounds totally bizarre, becuase rubik's cubes should be stressful becuase they're so hard to solve, but it relaxes me...go figure.
Oh, and drink lots of water everyday. That helps too.
