I would like to embrace my heritage...In my research of Cherokee wedding ceremonies being divorced I would be enable to marry in a Cherokee ceremony.

That depends. Are you going to be married by a tribal elder? If so, then it would be up to him/her. If you are not being married by an elder, then I think a lot of officients would love to do a native ceremony and divorce would probably not be an issue. Especially in this day and age. Also, if you are going to be married by an elder, make sure the marriage will be legal because some of them can do the ceremony but they can't do so legally. Great idea and good luck with it!
