I know I am overweight but I am very tall for my age also. I am 14, 6'2" and 280 pounds what can I do to lose a needed amount of weight in 4 or 5 months?

really, if you don't want to gain weight back, these are simple things you can do that you probably won't even notice after a while.
1) drink like, at least two bottles of water a day. You can work your way up.
2) stop eating cafeteria food. make a sandwich at home.
3) go for a walk for thirty minutes everyday. especially if you have a dog. If you don't take a camera with you and take pics or take an ipod. Have a set time for it, or you might start to make up escuses not to go. (personally, i like to run for 45 min. at 5 in the morning, because i don't have anything else to do then but sleep)
4) have breakfast. this is probably the second most important after walking. just cereal and milk will do. or instant oatmeal or whatever. Breakfast!
5) That was long... anyway, i'm 14 too, and i know its hard to get someone to take you to the gym or to workout when you have a paper or something due, but a walk can really help calm you down after a day at school. trust me. hope some of this helps.

If you're like me, you need structure to lose weight. Weight Watchers is the best way to go. You can do the online program, as long as you trust yourself to stick with it and hold yourself accountable. It tells you how to do things and it's easy, even for an amateur. I've lost 30 pounds so far and I'm still losing. Good luck!

go down to like 700 calories a day. Eat protein and carbs at a ratio of 3:1 and work out daily for at least 30 minutes. Walking counts =]

Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.

But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note-- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.

So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. okay i try to loose weight too
and the key is to strech before && AFTER you work out
it helps your muscels and that also makes you loose more weight

also eating healthy is improtant...but its more importanat you dont over eat
