I am what would medically be defined as obese. I also chose to lose weight this year but so far I've been stuck in my same old routines.

don't think about the total amount of weight you want to loose...start off by saying i want to loose 10% and work from there...personally if i say i wanna loose 100lbs that sounds like a huge amount and it is but by working in 10% increments it doesn't sound like alot...also find someone to diet with...my sister and i are doing this, even though we say it isn't a competition we both know it is...and so far i am doing better because i am determined not to be beat by my baby sister

I am in the same case as you, I want to lose a lot of weight, but really just don't want to take the time away to actually do it. Just think, "In about a year or so, I will be skinny and cute." Heh. It works for me!
