I first felt my baby's movements at 18 weeks. It was a little 'tap tap' down in the lower corner. At my ultrasound done at 20 weeks, I found out his placenta was right out infront, so that cusioned a lot of movement. So, for the rest of the pregnancy I mostly felt him only on the sides.
I don't remember getting the hiccups more, but my baby sure did!! The first time I felt them was at 5.5 months pregnant, and it freaked me out!! I thought he was seizuring or something. Very weird.
I know exactly what you mean about your stomach balling up. I miss that sensation:(. I'm jealous you're pregnant!! Have a great time and congratulations!!

I started feeling movement around 18 weeks. It first felt like a little muscle twitch on the one side. Usually lower and under my belly button. Later around 22 weeks it felt like bubbles in my stomach. I think the feeling can change.
So far no hiccups.
Congratulatons !!!!!!!!

There are many different positions baby lays in the stomach, if his/her feet or hand are on right side it'll move there, if on the left than left, same with up and down, but baby can also rotate and it will change, baby is inside your tummy floating in fluid so it's easy to move. There is nothing wrong with the way where movements are felt.Get to know how often your baby moves and keep it up.I would be only worried if it didn't move for some time like after you eat something sweet for example only, but you will get to recognize when it moves. In case it doesn't and you're wondering, I would go to ER asap. But don't be worried, babies don't move all the time either, just relax and get to know it, if you notice any difference, you know what to do. As for what you explain, it's very normal on either side and with hickups. Congratulations and enjoy !

I felt as though my stomach "balled" up a lot when I was in the first stages of pregnancy. I think this was my body stretching and adjusting. I did feel movement very early, but not in the belly button area - mine was lower and in the middle. But every pregnancy is different. As far as hiccups, I don't really remember having them much, but when I was in late pregnancy my son had them and people could see it because my stomach would rise and fall when he did (he was a very large baby). Enjoy your pregnancy!!

I started feeling little movements at 4 months, most of the time on either side. I felt like little bubbles bursting or little taps. I did not get hiccups but I did have to burp alot more.
