The idea behind the cell phone was invented by Maxwell in 1876, he designed the wave equations, then in 1901 Marconi showed that it was possible to broadcast over the Atlantic. 47 and Bell Labs took over in the development of the cell phone. Cooper in 73 did a lot more work on it and it gradually built up from there.

i dont know the name actually but what i can tell is cell phones was invented before or during the world war 2 when the soldiers used it to communicate to the united states base
