I don't get it, why haven't I lost weight yet?
For the past month i have been eating about 300 calories a day, burned 100 a day on a treadmill, did cardo for about 30 - 40 minutes. I am 5'3 and weighed 110, I now weigh about 107lbs. Why have I ONLY LOST 3LBS!!!! I've been working SO hard. What can I do!!!
******Up until 1 month ago i used to drink 0 cups of water a day....yes ZERO, however i started to drink 1 cup a day two weeks ago, is this why I am not losing weight. If i continue this diet and drink lets say 6 cups of water a day will I FINALLY LOSE THE WEIGHT!!!
Please don't tell me I am at a good weight, I really have to lose weight!!! Thanks.

well i support your decision in losing weight however you wanna do it, i mean i'm anorexic i shouldn't be saing whether your healthy or not, becuase your eating almost double the amount of calories i consume in a day.
but eat every 4 hours AT LEAST. it will keep your metabolism going. if youd ont want to consume a lot of calories. then eat negative calorie foods, apples, orange, asparagus, green beans, broccoli...etc.
and if you drink more water, it flushes the fat out of your system quicker and works as a natural laxative
which in terms means your body will digest your food twice as quick as if you were drinking no water.
yes but back to the top eat every 4 hours becuase after 5 hours your body goes on starvation mode, and thinks "oh if this is the onoly food i'm getting, then i better store it away becuase i might not get any more" so whateve ryou eat will stick to you and not go away no matter how much you excercise.
but if you eat every 4 hours your body wont be craving food as much
and will in return burn off calories quicker becuase it's keeping your metabolism going

your body (which has more self-preservation instincts than you do) has gone in starvation mode. You don't feed it, it shuts down. It's like having a fireplace and hoping it will go on warming the room without wood... it ain't going to happen.
In order to lose weigh you need to at least feed it as much as your metabolic requirements are. How much are those? Calculate that through the link below, then subtract 20% and you'll get the minimum amount of calories you NEED to eat in order for you to lose weight.
In order to lose weight you will also need to:
* drink 1/2 gallon of water a day (NOT JUST 6 cups!!!)
* eat 3 servings of fat free dairy (you need calcium to lose fat!!!)
* eat 1 oz walnuts a day (you need omega3s to have your muscle burn stuff)
If you starve the way you do you will actually STORE FAT and lose water and muscle... is that what you want????

Beacuse your killing your body! Thats why you aren't loosing the weight! Get a grip... your weight is GOOD right now. You need to start eating some food, too... thats for sure. Healthy food. Maybe even some fatty foods. Your killing your body by only eating 300 calories a day. You should be eating about 1,200 - 2,000 calories a day.

Holy CRAP! No WONDER you aren't losing weight! 300 calories? You are starving! Your body is going to hang on to EVERY bit of food and stored fat that you have. You are TOO THIN anyway.
You obviously have an eating disorder. Get some help immediately before you die.
No, you really DON'T have to lose. You are very ill. And you will die if you don't get help.

sorry...but YOU NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP!! you are at a very healthy weight. Your bmi is 19.00. Under 18.00 is considered unhealthy. DO YOU REALIZE THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT IN THE CATEGORY YOU ARE...YOU ARE ONE OF THE FEW LUCKY ONES. And by the way you were probably not losing much weight because your body was using any available resource to survive since you have been starving yourself...and DO YOU THINK WATER IS FATTENING?? You are dehydrated. You need to see a doctor because you are anorexic...please get help before you kill yourself!!
DO NOT LISTEN TO PURPLE>>BA...She is an admitted anorexic...She should also be in therapy...she obviously has a death wish also. Maybe you can be a support group to each other to eat healthy foods and maintain a HEALTHY weight. You both are on a very unhealthy track and the end result is that you could loose your life...please get help before that happens.

soups can be both filling and comforting try making a garden or bean soup with low salt broth and store in portion sized cups for later
