No. Historical artifacts continue to prove biblical accounts of events long gone. I can go to numerous museums throughout the world to view relics from civilizations spoken of in the Bible.
Science is a wonderful tool for explaining how our universe interacts with itself. Science today explains many autonomic processes down to the atomic level.
Religion explains how and why we exist and what our future holds. The Bible to me is the manufacturer's manual for the maintenance of society and life.
Science and religion go hand and hand like intellect and wisdom.

Yes! When you have 'faith' that your 1978 rusty car will make it to work or play. When you 'feel' your home team will win the baseball game. When you have 'faith' in your little brother that he won't get into your room and mess everything up while your in school! Oh yes, and another example: When you have deep faith in Buddha, Krishna or some other DEAD so called prophet that they can help you in anyway with your troubles! The only person that answers me and helps me on a DAILY basis is the very much ALIVE eternal all powerful person of Jesus Christ! All other attempts at having faith in anything is based on feelings as you yourself so stated in your question.

I used to believe the Bible as a youngster.Once I studied the facts ,manuscripts and archeology, that belief turned into faith.Faith is a verb .The Greek word is 'Pistis'.Example: I believe the light will go on when I flip the switch.I had the faith in what I knew about how my house works and electronics to flip that switch and sure enough,my faith was justified. Now ,if I say I believe that one legged chair will hold my 6'3" 245 lb bod and I sit down and fall on my @ss,I just showed blind stupid faith. Capish amigo?

Faith is based on emotion and neediness, that carried over childhood need to have someone superior to defer to...the great cosmic daddy.
Lack of faith takes more intellectual effort, but at the same time, apostasy is the natural human condition. We aren't born believing in gods, that is taught to us as malleable infants and children, if we are unlucky enough to be born into a religious family. ( I was)

Feelings, experience, and most of all ENVIRONMENT. If you were raised on a certain religion, chances are, you're going to be a part of that religion. And if not, its because either your environment changed, or you had a personal experience that made you change your mind.
