Every time Mayweather steps into that ring, there's always a 50-50 chance that he may be beaten. This was proved in 2002, when he was the beneficiary of a controversial decision over Jose Luis Castillo. Mayweather has awesome talent and ther's no denying that. Every boxer is beatable. The Greatest was beatable, as his record would attest.
Mayweather is a personal favorite of mine and has battled with the best opposition, that alone would double his chances of being defeated. When they say Mayweather is ducking Hatton, Cotto, or even Mosley, are they aware of who Floyd is goin to fight this May? Even if Mayweather does not go against them after the De la Hoya fight, he is exempted. Mayweather deserves a break from fighting high quality opposition. Even if Mayweather refused to fight any of the men above, it will not harm his legacy and you can never say that he never fought the best.
Beating Mayweather is like solving a puzzle. You can just say that no on has figured it out yet.

To answer your question yes Mayweather is beatable but De La Hoya wont be the one to do it there is a saying in boxing that a good big man will beat a good little man and this statement is right most of the time in this case though Mayweather is a great little fighter and De La Hoya is a good big fighter take Pretty Boy by late round knock out. One more thing Mayweather has something to prove to him self Oscar has been beaten by 3 people already how would Mayweather look losing to De laHoya and don,t think for one second that Mayweather not thinking about that bet the house on this one

Any fighter is beatable. Oscar's got a shot. De La Hoya's got this fight the way he wants it at 154. He will have a decided height, reach and weight advantage. He's got become a body puncher extraordinaire to pull it off. He can't try to outbox Mayweather. Hatton is too slow, too easy to hit. Ricky takes shots to get in shots if he fought Floyd he'd find nothing to hit. Mayweather wouldn't knock Hatton out but I believe because of his handspeed he would give Hatton a beating. As far as Hatton getting a chance to fight Mayweather, I think it's up to Hatton. Floyd was calling him out in Miami during Super Bowl week.

Mayweather is a great boxer. He's perfected the sport. In welterweight, he's definetly unbeatable. Hatton wouldn't be able to go the distance with Floyd. Floyd would outclass Hatton. Hatton's just like a harder punching version of Baldimor and i see that same exact scenerio playing out if they ever fought. I thought for sure Mayweather would beat de la Hoya but when i watched their press conference in Chicago (or new york im not sure) but Floyd said he was gonna fight de la Hoya on the inside. I'm not sure if he's just saying that to get people interested or if he's seriously considering a telephone booth fight with de la Hoya. If thats the case than Oscar can definetly give Floyd his first loss. But i don't see that happeneing and right now IMO i don't think too many people have a chance against Mayweather. I think Sugar Shane Mosley could beat him. Thats about it.

Every fighter is beatable and In my opinion, De La Hoya has a excellent chance of handing Floyd his first loss, if not his first knockout. Floyd's style is made for a fighter with Oscars left hook. though he lacks power in his straight right. Oscar is a converted southpaw, meaning that he was origanlly a left handed fighter his father Joel converted him when Oscar was a young boy. Floyd's body is open all day for the lefthook. If Oscar tries to outbox the much faster Mayweather, he loses.
Ricky Hatton doesn't have a chance. Ricky will be knocked out in less than seven rounds when he fights Jose Luis Castillo, after that he'll probably go back to England think about a rematch with Castillo and probably retire. Ricky's way too slow and way too easy to hit to fight against Floyd.
Thanks for the question Tod Gun.

I think de la Hoya has a good chance because he's more used to the weight class than Mayweather is. But I think both of them are better off at lightweight.
Wasn't Hatton supposed to fight him, but then he got hurt?

No fighter right now has a chance of beating maywether in his weight class. De La Hoya has no heart its all about the money, hes not the same golden boy he used to be. Ricky Hatton will get eatin alive by Floyds speed.

Ricky Hatton will go the way of Gotti if Floyd gives the Brit a fight. Oscar has a punchers chance of beating Floyd because Floyd is coming up in weight to fight Oscar. If Maywhether can follow the fight plan of Shane Mosely, he will beat Oscar.
The fight Floyd Maywhether Jr. should avoid at all costs is with Shane Mosely. Mosely, in the blogbaba's humble opinon matches up well with Floyd in all comparable catagories, with a greater reach, a harder puncher, and equal speed.
If anyone besides Oscar landing a lucky shot can beat Maywhether, it's Shane.

Yes he is, every fighter is beatable, Ali lost, Robinson lost, Leonard lost, etc. As good as Floyd has been in his career, he is capable of being beaten, but it's going to take a great fighter to do it, and that very well could be Oscar on May 5th. This is a dangerous fight for Floyd style-wise because De La Hoya is bigger, stronger, and is one of the few fighters out there that can almost match Floyd in hand speed. Floyd may have a slight edge in speed, but it won't be overwhelming like it was against Baldomir and Gatti. But Oscar has to fight a seek and destroy fight against Floyd. He cannot wait or try to outbox him, he has to go after him with speed, power, and smarts. If Floyd can't land something to get Oscar's respect early, he will be in trouble. And Oscar has to go to the body often to slow down Floyd's movement and make him fight. As far as Hatton, i don't think he has what it takes to beat Floyd, Floyd would outbox him with speed and movement and win a lopsided decision. Hatton will have his hands full with Jose Luis Castillo in their upcoming fight.

Ok Folks..If Mosely whupped up on WUSScar Del Annoy-ya, Mayweather is going to cruise. Is Floyd beatable? Not by anyone under 156. Hatton has no chance, it's a HORRIBLE matchup as far as styles are concerned.
