well it just depends on the child my little girl pedaled her tricycle at age 2 and rode a bike with out training wheels at 3 but on the other hand my son who is 4 still will not ride a bike or a tricycle he is to scared " he will break his neck"" or that's what he told us lol it will happen just keep putting him on

No biggy. MIne didn't get it till 2 1/2 or so. I have heard that the coordination required to pedal a trike is one indicator of physical readiness to potty train.

That`s normal. Most children just sit on the trike with their feet on the pedals at that age. 3ish is when they start to co ordinate the pedals and direction.

It depends on the child. I know 2 yr olds that can, but mine was closer to 4 because his legs were too short.

I think that by the age of three he will get it.
Don't worry about this one little thing...he is learning SO MUCH everyday in other areas...he has to build up the strength in his legs, and that takes time and practise.

I say the average age is 3. But I am sure your son could learn to at his age, if he has patients and you are willing to help him learn.

his trike may be too large for him.. his legs should be nearly fully extended when they are at front center of wheel
