I've been told I'm going to Hell because I don't believe by...
Christians
Muslims
Jews
Hindus (okay I haven't really been told personally but they do have a Hell,)
So do Pagans have a Hell? I'm sure there have to be some fundamentalist Pagans out there somewhere.

It really depends on the pagan. Some pagan religions have something similar to Hell. The Asatru have Hel, but that's not like Hell, it's the name of the Goddess to whose lair non-warriors go when they die. Hellenism has various areas of the Underworld where you go (there's a very nasty place for people who've committed suicide, but the equivalent of luxury apartments for followers of Orpheus).

I believe the Hindu and Buddhist Hells are temporary (I could be wrong about that), since they believe in reincarnation. So, they're more like purgatory, which I think holds more credence. What's the point in punishing someone for eternity? That won't lead to anything productive; it's just something you do if you're a sadist.

The whole idea of being "pagan" is that of a person who has no allegiance to Christ. If you do not want Christ, Hell is all yours by default. That's the reason He came. We all have sinned and have earned Hell for it, whether we practice "paganism" in some religious form, or we just don't do anything at all, since either one is an insult and rebellion against Him. Jesus pays our penalty for justice' sake, and offers His effort for your benefit on account of God's mercy...that is, if you receive Him. So yes, you get to go to Hell. I might suggest that you take Jesus instead, but you do what you want.

Why do I get the feeling that you are Yu Hamingi T? Morgtheyge posted this exact same question. And if memory serves, he also posted as "Weird Kid" at one time.

No, there is nothing like the Christian Hell in any Pagan religion and the Jews do not go around telling people they are going to Hell, in fact I don't think they even believe in Hell.

It depends on which type of pagan u ask.
Pagan is a word that means "pre-christian"
All types of religions existed before christianity, so im sure some did and some didnt (have a hell).

Nope, no pagan hell. Hel is nothing like the christian Hell.
The closest thing any pagan belief had was Hades, which is the Underworld.. no torture, no eternal torment, no brimstone.. sorry to disappoint you.

And I have to laugh at the fundie pagan thing.. the closest thing we have to that would be what's called "hard polytheists" who take the gods and goddesses literally.

Many blessings on your path.. sounds like you've had enough "hell" already.

Many Pagan traditions have an underworld -- that's where Hell had its origin. Hell comes from Hades, the Greek underworld.

But it was the Christians who decided it would be a place of torture.

Well i practice wicca and we believe in reincarnation and the hell for us is being reincarnated as an insect for eternity, but just because you dont believe in this religion doesnt mean that it is going to happen to you, as long as you live a good life you are safe
blessed be

Some of us do.

The usual difference, is that Hell is a place reserved for people who HARM others in ways that are inhumane.

Personally, I beleive the afterlife to be a thing created by the mind, for irt's self before it dies, which may be a divine expression of Judgement [where you judge yourself]
