How do I stop thinking about how weird I am because I have never had a boyfriend before and all of my friends have had one? The closest thing I had to a boyfriend was when I was 8 this boy always came over to my house and we would always play together and I would chase him around the playground. All of my friends had a boyfriend when they were in 3rd grade (I don't understand how they could though). I would really like to stop thinking about this. I know that I will probably never get a boyfriend or be kissed because I live in a small town and the people I go to school with now will be the people I will graduate with. This never bothered me before so I don't know why it is bothering me so much now. I am 14. Please give me some GREAT advice

You are FOURTEEN. You are MUCH too young to be this worried over this. You are NOT weird at all! Everyone thinks about these things, and everyone wonders if they will ever be liked by boys (or girls!) and does everyone think they are dorks?
The answer is NOOOOO!!! Nobody thinks that, and if they do, it's because they are:
a. Shallow and don't have anything intelligent to think about.
b. Insecure and you scare them because you are better than they are!
c. Just plain stupid.
Either one of those are reasons for you NOT TO WORRY!
Suppose a boy did approach you and want to like you and you are just 14? What could you really do about it? Would your parents let you have a really serious relationship right now, or would it just be something that you couldn't even do anything about?
I think that when the time is right and you are old enough to really date, you will have more than enough boys lined up at your front door (where they are supposed to be!!) Right now, focus on important things, like homework, friends, cool clothes, and the newest cell phones and IPODs.
Life gets complicated very fast, don't rush to make it hard too soon. Enjoy being a young girl while you can. Believe me, it's a great feeling!

im 16 and have not really done the whole dating thing like theres a guy that i hang out with but i dont think you would call it dating and this just starting happening a few months ago but just give it time i also thought that i was weird because i did not have a boyfriend but i honestly find it easier to focus on becoming a better person for yourself before you get a bf and its so much easier through high school with out one because you can hang out with your friends whenever you want and dont have to have a commitment. Look at it this way when you get married you can not go back to this so take advantage of it while you have it.

Oh, Wow. You are too young to worry about this. I know many people who were 18 before they had their first Real boyfriends. Know that it is very typical for women to wait to have a boyfriend. In fact, you probably have more mature ideas of what a relationship is like. This means that you are a more mature woman and are looking for a mature relationship, there is nothing wrong with that in fact it is to be admired. Also, by not just setteling with anyone you are taking care of yourself.
It seems like you are level headed and smart about this, you may feel longely but because you are able to think about this in an intelligent way you are setting yourself up for a great relationship later on. Congratulations to you!

Your 14! you dont even know who or what you want to be, and if the only reason you want a bf is because everyone else is, you shouldnt have one. But, if you feel ready, just look around at the available guys and if any seem like nice, respectful options, befriend them for a while and see where it leads... what about the boy when you were 8? is he your age? if he is, why not talk with him?

Well first off your not weird, and your still very young and youve got plenty of time for a boyfriend later on but i know that your thinking about that because thats what alot of girls at your age do. Dont even worry about it, you'll find that special someone in your life just give it time cause you have plenty of that.

Focus on your other achievements. Trust me, having a boyfriend isn't always the greatest thing in the world, sometimes it's a horrible thing if he turns out to be an abuser or a user. Being single is fine, especially at your age!

hey, so am i! im 14, 2 and theres was a boy i liked when i was 8 who i kissed, but he rejected me. so i officially have never had a boyfriend. but yesterday i met someone right here on yahoo answers and now were bf and gf. we talked for hours. so try that. but first, on ur profile, make it so that people can im u and e-mail u, maybe someone will talk to u.

just because you live in a small town doesnt mean you cant have a boyfriend there.the time will come when you find someone you like and you will ask them out or vice versa.
