Well, you are his wife. He needs to ask the Lord to forgive his sin, but in order to have a marriage with you, he needs your forgiveness as well. Only you know if you want to remain in the marriage, but if you do, you will have to forgive him, or it will never work. So while he does not need your forgiveness to get into Heaven or to be forgiven by God, he DOES need it very much if the two of you are ever to have a life together again. If he is truly repentant, he will seek your forgiveness as well and try to make amends for the hurt he has caused you.

scripturally - yes. maritally - yes. if you were not living or not around, forgiveness from the Lord would be complete. however when it's said about confessing.... that includes to the person you hurt - unless for some reason you physically can not. in the Catholic time of penance - confession - the priest ( i remember from school) would often tell me i had to go to the person to whom i was rude or teacher i misbehaved for ( hey i wasn't a good kid all the time lol) and tell them too. then i would have to make sure i didn't do it again.... you see, IMO if you are truly sincere in your repentance, you have to want the person you harmed to forgive you too - since Christ is in all of us....

I don't know if we can make that determination about it. Sometimes people feel so bad they never say anything to you personally but, they have told God they were sorry. I don't know what to tell you but Forgive. Just maybe don't worry about forgetting if you find that too hard. Forgiving doesn't mean you have to forget.

Do you forgive him? If you do forgive him before you go to bed tonight. The Lord says to forgive those who have sinned against you. And then he needs to seek the Lord's forgiveness
