quicktime error?

Question

Whenever i try to download aim for my mac it says there is a quicktime error and will not install aim. I checked and quicktime is updated all the way. Any ideas?

What would QuickTime have to do with AIM? I don't understand that. Turn off QuickTime while downloading. I wonder if you are downloading a QuickTime movie that describes how to use AIM, instead of the AIM application.

Why not just use iChat which uses AIM anyway?
