I have tried edmunds.com cars.com and autotrade.com I've had no luck is there anyother sites?

Truth is....you're probably not going to find cheap VW Beetle Convertible. Trust Me, I looked online and locally for months! The best thing you can do to get some of the price knocked off at a dealer, is buy a car at the end of the year, they will be trying to get rid of the cars so they don't have to pay taxes on them.
I bought a Beetle Convertible December 29th, I ended up getting the car $10,000. less! I payed $16,000. for a $26-27 thousand dollar car!

if you mean the old classic VW' bugs, the words cheap and convertable are mutually exclusive.
Unless you are willing to purchase a POS (piece of..) and do a quality restoration then you are going to have to pay at least $10k for a convert. of good quality.
Basically, you get what you pay for. I have seen rusted hulks going for $500 with paperwork. From there it just goes up. First class, top of the line... fully restored.. will run you close to $20k.

the fact that your looking for a cheap beetle suggests to me, that you dont want to sepnd alot of money on it.
i hate to tell you, but the new vw beetles have been the least reliable car in american since their introduction in 1998.
VW has owned the bottom three slots on the worst reliable cars on consumer reports for 7 consecutive years.
the parts are extremely expensive, and i promise you, youre going to get screwed if you buy one.
