I think it's absolutely disgusting as well as setting a bad example of immodesty for you girls for the future. When my friend's daughter spends the night here I make her wear panties. I dont' want her on MY beds/furniture without them! Gross!

your sister is not alone, but she's not right. there is no right answer. my concerns would be no panties around guests/strangers/men/boys, because i'm paranoid about pedophiles. but I have no problems with nudity in general - I think it's wrong to teach children to fear nudity. I say let them go commando, and just give guidelines about when/where. You're doing fine in my book. :)

I have five girls, and no they don't sleep with out panties. It just depends, there are boys and a man in our house, so no i don't let them. If it's all girls, than I see no problem with it. good luck

Yes, I was when I was smaller. Because I had a problem down there. But I think its okay even if they dont. As long as they use panties when they get older.

My mom always told me not to wear panties with my pajamas when I was little - she said the "down there needed to breathe". I wouldn't worry about it much either way. However she's comfortable.

I have three girls two wear them when they wear nightgowns but not when they wear shorties pj's or winter pj's....one never wears them ever. It's personal preference....although I do tell them to always wear them when they go on sleep-overs. Hey, when it's an all female house you can't use the bathroom without interruption so what does it matter anyway! lol :)

i keep undies on my lil one because shes just been potty trained and i wanna get her used to wearing them but if they dont wanna wear them to sleep they wont. I can tell you how many morning ive woken up to my husband screaming because hes gone to get her up for breakfast and touched baby butt thinking she still had on undies. She takes them off during the night sometimes. Plus, one day they may wanna sleep over with a friend and they need to be used to wearing them to bed!

Unless they have a problem down there with frequent UTI or yeast infections, I would make them wear panties to bed. It's more modest in my opinion.

Sure, why not? If they feel more comfortable, then it's ok. Sleeping at night need to relax. If they like it, just let them go ahead. But u need to make sure they can only do in their own rooms not the public areas.
