I have heard some Christians say that the Antichrist will bring the people of the world together before showing his true side, or something like that. I have looked all up and down the Bible and I can't figure out where they are getting that idea from. Can anybody tell me what book, chapter, verse in the Bible says that? What is the exact quote or quotes? If the words are symbolic, please explain why you feel it means that. Thanks.

Revelation chapter 13 is the primary text.
He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast... He ... made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed... he deceived the inhabitants of the earth... He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark
The first beast is considered a symbol of a ruler who deceives the nations (commonly referred to as the Antichrist).

Antichrist is mentioned 4 times in 3 verses, all in 1John. Many people misinterpret Revelation and think most of it relates to future events. This goes against the statements at the beginning and end of it indicating the time frame in which it would be fulfilled.

I think the text you mean is in Daniel chapter 7: verse 23: Daniel had a dream is where it starts:verse 1, and it goes on to interpret the dream...verse 25 says he will speak against the most High (meaning he will speak against The Lord God) and oppress His saints( meaning the believers) hope this is of some help to you....

assumption.. if u watch the movie omega.. (Armageddon) u will think that the bible has a lot of details .. in fact . the part that talk about the end of the world (revelation) is coded. and there is no way somebody can get that much details from it.. 90 % of the story was think from other religions.
big part of Christan claim to have the holy spirit.. though none of them explained revaluation.

The Bible is an awesome book. You have to read it and interpret it while attempting to fully understand it. Get a Bible and read Revelations, about the second coming of Christ.

i think its a prophecy some guy may have said that isnt in the bible. there are many things in the bible that catholics believe even though it isnt in the bible, these are stories that get passed on.
