In my opinion they are way overrated! Find a reliable butcher in your area that carries Prime beef and get any type of steak cut just the way you like it. My favorite is a bone in ribeye cut to about 1.5". I like to marinade for a brief time in Dale's which imparts a wonderful flavor and amazing tenderness. Best marinade I've used, even over my homemade marinades.

not really. I used to buy them a long time ago but it is to me kind of a gimicky thing. If you have a Costco or Sams club shop there for your quality meats. Yes Omaha steaks are nice but I think you can do better.

Yes and no. If you can afford to buy a lot of steaks, it is great. You WILL eat steaks every day, though. That is not good for the body. I find going to a butcher shop and buying ONE good steak is a lot easier on the budget than putting a lot of money down for a lot of steaks. Worse if you pay monthly.

Absolutely and than some. Omaha steaks are the best especially if you know someone who works for them :)

Not worth price in my book. I get better steaks locally from the butcher and can select the ones I want.

I bought on of the $60.00 packages with a few sirloins, hamburgers, hot dog, beef tips and stuffed fish. I thought it was very good. I think it's a little pricey so I will buy again but will stick with the package specials.

you might as well buy yourself a big mac. the value is better and the beef tastes better. the filet mignon sucked. go to your local grocer and buy yourself something of much better quality. and if you need advice, find the next cute guy that walks past, or good looking woman if that's your thing, and ask him/her their opinion. you made a friend and learned something at the same time. and maybe, you'll buy enough for 2.

Yes, they are, and no they are not. Does that make sense? A very good meatshop is Amana Smokehouse and Meatshop. Their products are wonderful, and shipping is included.

They can be, if you don't have a decent place to buy them locally. If you are near a large city, it's probably not worth it.
We tried their filet mignons, cooked them according to their directions, and they were wonderful.
