I was wondering if anyone knew if ketsup contained red dye #40, I have heard that this may cause behavior problems with kids. We are having some behavior problems with one of the kids and I was wondering if anyone has tried to remove this from their kids diet

No, not that I know of. Tomatoes are red, and ketchup has a lot of cooked-down tomatoes in it. I've never heard of any company putting dye in it.

You might want to try a rotation diet if you suspect food allergies or intolerances. Check a book on food allergies if you think this might be the case.

But no, you'll have to keep looking--no red dye in ketchup.

Dye doesn't cause behavior problems with kids, it's just bad parenting.
