I noticed on here, alot of times people will ask serious questions about God, and some people just insult Christians, and make statements like "God doesnt exist" "that just proves Christianity and insanity go hand in hand" and such. Not one can prove God doesnt exist. And no one can convince me that Jesus Christ is not the savior. Trust me. People have tried. Christ has saved me from many things, And I stand today a new man from who I once was. No one can deny the change. I just wonder though, why are some Atheists so hateful? (Not ALL, I have met some really nice people who were atheist)

Religiously zealous people can be very discouraging to others, especially of other religions. We just try to fit in. hehe.
No honestly, noone wants to be forced beliefs down their throat, from evolutionists or from religions. This place needs to curb that behaviour.

Well, I'm Agnostic and know where they're coming from. Many atheists act almost like super religious people, they try to force their belifs onto you. It doesn't really matter about the God part, its normal to want other people to share your beliefs. There is also the fact that Atheists belive in scientific theorys, like evolution and the big bang theory. They think that because their beliefs are based on science, they are therefore smarter than religious people. I also understand (because I went through it) that many religious people are predijice against atheists, and it angers them. People in my neighborhood were really rude to me and my family because we did not go to church or anything, so you must understand that it isn't easy being open about your Atheistic beliefs. Religious people can be that same way sometimes. It is if you are open-minded enough to accept somone else's beliefs.

I dont think that any atheists are mean, i just think that they get fed up with all of those christian people and their questions. They all make commets like, "lets prey for those who dont believe," or they try to push their beliefs on other people way to much. I have heard some christians say things like, "if it wernt for god i dont know what i would live for." Now i understand people believe in their religion deeply, but i think that its just pathetic if all your living for is somthing that could possibly not even be real. And also, i dont ever see atheists going around saying, "dont believe in god" the only time they usually bring stuff like that up, is if their asked, or they feel the need to argue with christians that try to push their beliefs on them.

It's not just Atheists. People with opposing beliefs are constantly doing this. Christians against Muslims and Atheists, and the opposite as well. People just take things to extremes when dealing with people that don't have the same ideas in their head. We need to learn to respect each others beliefs and just be glad that we have the chance to choose our own.

I am guilty of that. I am a deist. I see so much hate and judgment directed at people who are not Christians, or their gay, or atheists, by Christians that I assume you are all ignorant idiots. I am sorry, I know that there are many wonderful, intelligent, and open minded Christians. I just want to see that you are worthy of respect before I give it. Same goes for your judgment of me, of course.

I think you just answered your own question in your parentheses. There are ******* in every bunch. To be honest, I really don't appreciate Christians telling me that I'm going to hell because I'm a non believer. I consider it disrespectful for people to push their religion on me, and their guiltful threats when I don't comply.
Just ignore them. There are bad apples in every bunch. Many of them are just bitter and spiteful because they had bad run-ins with christians.

There is an equal number, or perhaps greater number, of hateful christian answers as well. Often declaring things along the lines of " Your going to hell!!!!!!SHIFT1!!" or "OMFG YOU DONT BELIEVE? READ THE BIBLE!!!!!" etc.
But you may not have noticed them, seeing as people tend to lean in favor of their own kind, I know, Im guilty of doing it, no matter how hard I try not too.

The atheists I know outside of Answer's are quite different. And we get along just fine.
