The one I used before was the one spoken by Macbeth
"Stepped in so far that, should I wade no more,
Returning were as tedious as go o'er."
He was initially against committing murder, and as the plot moved along, he slowly found it easier to do so. Then he realized there was no turning back, and spoke the above line to express how he had been struggling with his internal morality, that continuing with the killing is as easy or as difficult as it would be to repent. Aptly describes how most of us feel about certain regrets in our lives, which we can do nothing about unless we can re-live our lives again.
