I find it interesting whenever there's a "discovery" of a biblical artifact how people respond.
Funny that when a portion of a execution cross was found, many of the Christians said it was Jesus' cross, even though thousands were made and used at that time.
Now a tomb was found. Obviously, to some, it had to belong to Jesus. Atheists are now saying "I told you he's dead!"
Couldn't of any of this stuff belonged to people not mentioned in any of the "holy" books?
Just an observation.

I'm not excited over it because it's a load of hogwash. My bible tells me: Matthew c.28 (all of chapter 28 ) v.1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. v.2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from Heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it.v.3 His countenance was like lightening and his raiment white as snow: v4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. v.5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. v6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. v.7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
He physically was risen from the dead, therefore they are not going to find any "bones" that belonged to Jesus. That's why I am not doing cartwheels over this.

That's not even worth thinking about. The maker of this film is trying to make money and not make a documentary. The proper translation for the name on the tomb is Hunan, not Jesus. The whole notion is silly and a scam to make some bucks.

Because they know and nonbelievers are happy that their is more proof to go off of. I mean look at it this way they aren't sure that they believe there ever was a Jesus and then they find a tomb, wouldn't you be happy to know that all those church people aren't as crazy as they sound??

I couldn't really care less. I'll probably watch the documentary, but even if it could be proven, Christians would ignore it just like Creationists ignore the propensity of evidence for evolution, abiogenesis, and Inflationary theory.

It wouldn't change a thing, so it's not much of a big deal.

The reason why were not excited is because we know the truth. That is not his tomb. Because Jesus was born in Jerusalem According to the Bible not outside of Jerusalem. And we know that Jesus is not in the Tomb because he is in Heaven!

That's because nonbelievers actually believe that those bones are Jesus' and they think they've been proven right. Believers think it's some other guy who died around the time Jesus did and was buried in graves that we think Jesus was buried in, but we know it's not Jesus.

Why would Christians be excited about that? It's kinda like how happy they were when they found out about the earth goin round the sun.

Actually just the opposite. Most Christians seem to have been upset (I mean Jesus rose bodily from the grave). Most atheists seem to be amused, at best.

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. The tomb, whether or not authentic, has no relevance to whether the religion is or is not a good thing.
