would it be legal for professional boxers like pay per view boxers to drink a couple beers before the fight or is that not allowed?

You can, but as people say, wouldn't be really smart. Your question more or less is like asking if they can smoke a cigarette or have caffine before a bout. Nicotine and caffine are drugs, but they are not what is refered to as a "banned substance". Loosly what that means, is nothing that enhances your performance, and/or nothing illegal. Alcohol is neither of those as cigarettes or caffine are not either. Mike Tyson beat Andrew Golota's brains in... they took his win away because Tyson had marijuana in his system. Being high is not performance enhancing, but is illegal. I think that is a garbage decision... but rules are rules plain and simple.

I don't know if its legal or not. I would imagine it is against the rules. The loss of reflex from even one beer would be too great of a disadvantage. I'm guessing you are thinking you would be able to take more punishment but that isn't true at all. It only makes you feel invincible.

It's legal, it's just a stupid thing to do. I don't know a court in the world who would consider booze a performance inhancing drug.

I am sure they could drink a few brews, but they would probably get their butts handed to them, because there reflexes would be slower.
