Is this a boyfriend...?

Question

Two of my friends told me that they have had a boyfriend listen to the way their relationships went and tell me if it was truly a boyfriend.

My first friend:
She "went out" with a boy in 3rd grade but I don't think it is a boyfriend because they are SO young. They didn't go anywhere outside of school.

My second friend:
She "went out" with a boy in 6th grade for a week. They didn't talk to each other or go anywhere together for that week. I don't consider this a boyfriend because they didn't even speak to each other.

What do you think?

I wouldn't call it "truely" a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. But I am sure to them at the time it felt like the real deal. I remember my first one I liked in 3rd grade, felt then like it was real. I know it wasn't now. I'm not sure what the issue here is....I'd just let them keep their first relationships and think what they like. No need to burst the bubble. I personally wouldn't take any relationship advice from them though. lol

I don't consider them boyfriends, because back then, none of us knew what we were doing relationship-wise. Yea, they were technically boys that were friends, but nothing more and nothing less ... nowadays, it might mean more, but in history it never has! It takes more than a school visit to have a relationship, so you are right

both NO, in 3rd grade i mean everyone has like bfs, no and the second one no, normally if you get asked out then you arent bf and gf or gf gf or bf bf, you have to date for a bit then you are officially bf and gf, plus you have to go somewhere with them OUTSIDE of school
