I can record my lectures in my computer and then burn them in a CD, so that when I am driving I can listen to them?

Yes.
Use Sound Recorder to record them as WAV files on your PC.

You can then burn the WAV file as a CD music file onto a blank CD by using software like Nero.
Choose create music CD & add the file you recorded.
It will automatically convert it to the same format as a song on a music CD so that your car stereo can play it.

I record my meetings on an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder (cost around $185)....then I download onto my computer....burn it to CD's....

I record all my mileage on this...when I receive business calls while I am on the road...I just turn it on and record conversation as a means of taking notes....I use it all the time....has made my life so much easier.

I am sure there is a way to it with your present system i just can't think of it at the moment, but you can use software like the following:
