Do we choose our lives, or do our lives choose us? Why?

That's a great question, and, one I struggle with. It all depends on what you are asking. Are you referring to freewill or the great debate of nature verses nurture? I believe in freewill. I'm a Christian. However, I struggle with nature verses nurture. (Yes, I'll receive feedback for this one. I'm sure.) I tend to fall more along the lines of nature, but also believe nurture plays a factor as well. I do believe that we are all born, and in many cases blessed, with individual gifts and talents that are in some situations greater than those others have been born with. But isn't that what makes each of us unique?

Choices are the options we choose, to be on the side, we most believe .
Life is what life is ,a beginning ,a series of emotional events that shape who we are ,then there is the end .
There is no script .just a time that we exist .

You choose your lives. My religion believes that we got to choose our lives in Heaven. Like you can choose to cuss or not to, you can choose to do stupid things or smart things. It's your choice of what you do with your opportunities.

that is an excelent question. i personally believe that the decisions we make form us and the lives we live. so we choose our lives.

Choice is when we are deciding how much to bet on the next roll of the dice. Determinism only goes so far and then chance takes over.

i believe that some things are set for us ... but only by us ( pre birth )
however it is like a road with two paths .... that junction is set for us ..
we decide which road to take
