Why doesn't my Red Lored Amazon have yellow cheeks?

I have seen alot of pics of them but they all had yellow cheeks, why doesn't my have the yellow cheeks

Your bird is probably a juvenile, his color will come in better as he gets older. Other possibilities: it is either one of the many subspecies, or is not a red lored. Do you have a picture?

You might have a sub species. But you should post a picture. It would make ID ing your bird easier.
