Christian people say that jesus was the son of god, or sometimes god himself, he died for the people's sins.
Muslims(like myself) say that jesus wasnt the son of god, he was a man sent on a mission by god; that god wasnt born from someone as well as he doesnt not have chidlren. And God did not let him die, he pulled him up to heaven because god wouldnt let anyone harm his messenger. And u have to die for ur sins, not someone else i.e jesus.

Jesus said in several places that he was going to die or referred to a time after he came back to life. The bible not only says Jesus was God's son/god, 1 John 4 says the way we test spirits is by seeing if they agree Jesus was God. So, there are irreconcilable difference between the bible and quran versions of who Jesus is/was.

The origins are from the same family tree: it is said that the mother and son of most of moder " Muslims" was paid off and sent into the desert but that the mighty God sustained them and said they would multiply and be a mighty people but always at war one with another. There may be some truth to this considering the areas constant conflicts.
Many new books take the older translation and change text this has happened too many times to count.

Yes, you have the two basic differences in belief correct.
Unless both views are wrong...
Jesus had as his key message that he was more than human, and that his role was to make the sacrifice that paid for the sins of humankind. (no human could do it, since as all are sinful, none could take on the sins of *others*) That "Son of God " as Jesus used it is equal to God is made clear in the bible.
Or, as in Islamic belief, Jesus is neither divine nor sacrifice, since God does not beget, and Jesus did not die.
Is there nothing to do but believe one, or the other, or neither?
People's beliefs are largely taken in accord with their family, their society, but a minority of people do change their minds and adopt a different religion, or none.

Its a matter of different beliefs, thats all. Both are relavant to diferent religions.
For muslims he is a prophet along the lines of moses abraham, etc. all of whom performed miracles. He was assigned to spread the word of god as well to help the faithful.
For christians he is the son of god, consieved through imaculate conception. He was sent down to help absolve people of the original sin, spread the word of god etc.

Jesus was foreseen thousands of years before His coming. He came to earth as a man for one reason and one reason only. To remove the sin from man so he may face God when the time comes. Jesus and God and the Holy Spirit are all God Almighty. God allowed a portion of His Spirit come to earth and live as man and die as man. He took all the sins of mankind upon Himself so now if you believe in Him, you have a direct access to God Almighty when you die. God is pure love and is completely sin free. You might say it is against God's realm to be with someone who is sinful. By accepting Jesus as our Savior and our Messiah as was foretold in God's Holy Bible, we can be with God in eternity. That is why it is said in the Bible that Jesus was there when Adam and Eve were created. Jesus and God are one...

Jesus is the Son of God....christians believe in the Trinity that God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one...but don't hurt yourslef on this, no one can understanf the Trinity but live by faith and believe it is so...the Bible presents this...Jesus did die on the cross and was resurrected three days after...He did die for our sins..how? allow me to elaborate...
God's Law is perfect, unchangable, divine...when Adam and Eve broke that Law, someone had to pay for the sins so Jesus Himself came from his Holy and peaceful place in heaven down to earth to pay for our sins under the Divine Law...before he died, many people were saved, He came down and spread the Word of God so that we might me saved...
i can tell you lots more but recommend this site to you..
www.bible.com
God has always exisited (it is uncomprehendible to our human minds but it's true)...there was no other God before Him....christians live by faith and it is by faith that they are saved...
Jesus died on the cross on earth, so He was harmed and mistreated on earth...

The Bible says: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father God, full of grace and truth." John 1:1-4 & 14
The Bible says: "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty God in heaven." Hebrews 1:1-3
Allah chose Hagar and her son Ishmael for his covenant.
The God of the Bible chose Abraham's other son, Isaac, as heir to His covenant. "Abraham said to God, 'If only Ishmael might live under your blessing!' Then God said, "Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year." When he had finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him. Genesis 17:18-22
Allah is an unknowable being, impossible to approach or comprehend. The chief lack in the Islamic doctrine of God is that of love. The orthodox Muslim cannot say that God is love. In the Bible God befriends people like Abraham (Isaiah 41;8) and talks with them (Genesis 18:22) God loved us so much He sent His only begotten Son to die for us!
When a Muslim prays he pray for mercy because he does not know the grace of God. The Bible's God can only be reached through Jesus Christ and trusting Jesus is the only way to heaven. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father God except through Me. John 14:6
Allah required the works of Muhammad to complete his words of judgment to man. The God of the Bible sent His Son to accomplish the finished work of grace for man. "... Jesus said, "It is finished." with that, He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. John 19:30
There is a radical difference between Allah and the God of the Bible. Just because Muhammad said Allah (stone idol) is God does that make Allah, God? I don't think so. May Jesus bless you my friend and may He make Himself known to you.
