The best thing to do is use regular shampoo, not greasy hair kind.
Then rub! Use the pads of your fingers and press kinda hard, imagine you are pushing the oil out from your scalp.
This works the best, you can feel the difference immediatly, as you are rinsing you can just tell your hair is clean.
I used to have same problem, this is the only thing that makes a difference, I could probably go two days without washing now although I am still in the habit of washing every day. But I don't go to sleep, or wake up with greasy hair. I can always tell when I am not doing it right because my hair will be greasy again.
If you aren't sure how to do it go to the salon and ask them to wash your hair, tell them you have greasy hair and you will see how they do it and what it should feel like.
This also prevents the ends of your hair from drying out like harsher shampoos do.

Different shampoos work great for greasy hair. I used to always have greasy hair every day, and I started alternating between Suave and Herbal Essences. My hair is never greasy anymore! I don't even have to wash it every day, I wash every other day now. You can also rinse shampoo/conditioner out of your hair using cold water. This helps get rid of and absorb grease. This has been working for me for about a year.
Good luck!
Oh yeah, and when your conditioning, don't put the conditioner straight on your roots. Apply it to your hair tips first, because your roots already make enough grease for your hair. Start at the tips and work your way up.

Purifying shampoo, Pantene makes a good one will strip all the junk out of your hair. Do the rinse lather repeat thing too. Condition the ends of your hair not so much the roots and make sure you rinse it out good. Washing hair everyday produces more oil so you should really try every other day. Powder does help absorb the oil it's worth a try. Hair products will weigh it down and make it flat so go easy on those. When i was a teenager I did all theses things b/c I had oily hair and it really helped me out.

i have greasy hair every other day as well. ok...my grandmas a beautician so i know these things !!!
ok take an old shampoo bottle and fill it 3/4 of the way with water. then fill the rest up with vinegar. not only does it make the greasyness go away, but it makes your hair lighter and shinyer.
make sure to only use it like 2 or 3 times a week or your hair will dry out alot! it works though! i use it a couple times a week.

good luck !!! :)

Try using pureology's Purify Shampoo, I have blonde hair and it turns orange and all sorts of crazy colors with the impurities in the water. I use it twice a week, it also helps to dry my hair out as it is also greasy. The shampoo is a little on the expensive side but you only use a tiny amount each day as it is very concentrated.

I have the same exact problem, and for me, i can't get rid of it. But to help it, I use head and shoulders for oily hair, that way I can get rid of excess oils. Actually I put a good bit of hairspray on my hair sometimes and then I brush it out and that helps-a lot. Another thing is that my Aunt said she had oily hair when she was young and now her hair isn't oily at all, she said she grew out of it. So don't worry, I hate it but I deal with it.

That's good you are taking showers everyday! Look out for some good shampoos that will help you with your hair. Otherwise go to a hair doctor or someone similar to that person.
