It may be possible. If you are referring to a "pop-up" trailer than i would lean to yes. However you must know that this will put a fair bit of strain on your engine. Pulling a load of any weight requires a certain amount of torque.
Think of it like this: A full carload of people is AROUND 720 lbs. assuming the average weight of each person is 180 lbs. There is a noticeable difference in the performance of a vehicle with a full carload due to the extra weight. Now picture towing twice that weight behind your car. Get the picture?
It also depends on the towing weight limit of your vehicle. A Dodge pickup truck is going to tow a lot more that a Sentra.
I would suggest contacting Nissan motors about the tow weight of the vehicle and possible asking them if it would be possible.
Since the trailer is probably light weight i wouldn't worry too much about towing it with your car. Just keep in mind it is going to require a lot more power from your engine (resulting in a ot more gas used) to tow that thing behind your car, especially up hills. To save strain on your engine and transmission downshift into a lower gear when climbing hills.
Hopefully this info helped!

Happy Towing!!!

I would seriously reconsider towing anything with a Sentra. The car is not made to tow anything. The engine and the transmission are not suited for towing nor the brakes. If I'm reading your question correctly, you're planning to pull the trailer to a camping site which may or may not be in the mountains.

My main reason for not advocating to towing is that the transmissions on cars (especially the sentra) are not made to handle all that load during acceleration or deceleration. A couple of things can and WILL go kaput if you do this, first your transmission, then your engine, and finally your brakes.

If you need to tow, I highly suggest that you rent a truck or an SUV that's rated to tow things.

Best of luck.

Tina this is not a easy question first we need to know the weight of the trailer ,next we need to know the size engine size type of transmission .. however most tent trailers are very light and even a 4cyl sentra should pull it fine eather way you should be able to get the exact towing capacity of your car from nission .com..

If you've got a 6cyl engine you're better off- Maybe the sentra didnt come with that option ?
You need tow hitch and hopefully a lightweight trailer. This will be hard on the engone and transmission. The vehicle is not designed to tow.

Depends on how big the tent trailer is and what year the sentra is. It is possible, but I don't recommend it.

Check with your dealer is a good idea. But they do make small units for motorcycles and small cars these days. Just for an idea check out the link below.

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. lol
But seriously, if it has a place for the ball hitch to go, then you should be able to pull anything that the car has enough power to pull.

Check with your Nissan dealer to be sure, but probably if it is very light.
