OK, how are you going to monitor that? lol. I don't think so. I think at those ages you make suggestions, but it's up to them.

jeez, I can just imagine, LINE UP FOR INSPECTION, lol. (that was a joke)

I personally don't think you should ahve a say. You can not force them to do or not do something to THEIR bodies. It's somewhat similar to the "reproductive rights".

It would only make you comfortable knowing you have control over your daughter and that you are forcing her to do something against her will. It doesn't make her feel any better.

Maybe she doesn't feel comfortable having all of her pubic hair and wants to trim or cut it all off. It is her body. The most you should do is advise her, warn her about possible risks if any.

Shaving her hair isn't really going to cause any harm, she just has to becareful with the razor is all. By saying that she shouldn't (if that is your opinion) it is giving her the message that what she's doing is wrong and that she shouldn't do what makes her comfortable. It is also saying that you don't approve of what it is that she is doing. That is damaging to a girl's self esteem. Just talk to her, tell her what you do and don't advise, but as far as the actual actions, it is her choice.

Think now if you were doing something your mom commented on, how wuold you feel, would you like it? Isn't it your body? Shouldn't you have a say?

You obviously think there's something wrong with girls shaving their pubic hair, or you would not be asking this question. I have seen some of your other questions. You seem to have a deep fascination with girls shaving their pubic hair. I'm not sure if you are male or female, but I think you need help because you are always asking questions about why girls shave their pubic hair. You wanted to know if women were shaving their pubic hair because of pornography. Are you serious? Shaving pubic hair is absolutely nothing new. It has been practiced by societies for centuries. I think you are a clueless liberal. You are definitely a liberal if you would vote for Zell Miller as President of the United States because he's a Democrat. Republicans don't vote for Democrats. You are a liberal who has no life. You probably have a lot of book knowledge, but you don't know anything about people. That's why you don't understand why girls shave pubic hair.

I don't think my daughter would consult me about shaving her pubic hair. That would be a little private, don't you think? If she did I'd probably just tell her it's fine if that's what she wants to do. After all I don't think girls start realize that shaving pubic hair is done until they are 15-16 so she would already be shaving her legs and arm pits so who cares about her pubic hair?

As a parent I have more things to worry about - like alcohol, drugs, gangs and many other things that are bad, so I only worry about the big things such as what I mentioned above, if my kids wants to shave her/his pubic hair, well it is not harming their body so no big deal. I just worry if my child is safe and making good choices in their life, then I am ok with everything else.

That would be a tough thing to enforce.(I can't imagine a parent looking to make sure the girl hadn't shaved, that's a bit invasive and disturbing). Althought, I don't know why someone under, say age 14 would be doing that anyway?

No they shouldnt have a right in that....IF she comes to you and asks you should ask her exactly why she wants to do this...If she wants to so that she doent have any "strays" showing when she wears her bathing suite, then buy her something made for the bikni line...Is she just wants it all gone, then you could take her to a salon to get it waxed. Its really her personal choice. And just remeber if you tell her no,the chances are she will do it anyway, and you wont see or know of it unless she hurts herself. So its best to either talk her out of it nicely or take her to get it done safely.

um, no. I don't think it's within my realm of authority, anymore than whether or not my daughter shaves her legs, unless she's too young to be shaving period.

It would make me wonder who/what she's shaving for, though, and would prompt a discussion to make sure there's nothing I need to know.

As long as their old enough to shave I say it's their body. If the know how and are safe it really don't make a difference in my opinion.

I think girls should be able to do it. What if it sticks out when they wear a swim suit??? What woman would like that??. I mean even if you are 13 it will matter to you if it does. And as her mother you should take her where ever you get it done.

no and once a girl gets pubic hair a parent shouldn't be seeing there child naked to know if they did it.
