well I like Canada but US have very nice places , so if you looking for a change you need check where do you want live in mountains, closer of lakes , plain land.
I like Hot springs arkansas, because is not too cold not too hot....just in the middle, but this place dont have the dynamic of Chicago....(I like the front lake but the price is crazy.... Canada have good price but is too cold......anyway think first what do you want sun? beach?, mountains or just plain land and big city, small city just a town ?? is many things first .
check it out this first!

I am an American living in Canada, and I love it.
Canada has its pros and cons just like the U.S. or any other country. Cost of living is roughly 35% higher here. People have less discretionary income. However, IMO, higher quality of life.
There are many subtle differences between the US and canada that you dont really pick up on til you live in both, but there are enough of them to make a profound difference between the two.

You can't just pick up and move to Canada unless you already have dual Citizenship. You would have to apply for and be granted permanent residency or a work visa. Info here:

Process takes 1-3 years on average, costs around $1,200.

oh so, you'd like to have most of your income go to health care you can't have due to lack of medical facilities and women that have babies all day? yeah, i thought that sounded good too. but while you're up there, can you ask them where they've been for the past, oh, 100 years? pot can't be that great. stay in the US and be criminals like the rest of us!
