Evolution is paraded as scientific fact, when todays scientists are starting to see its folly. However, many hold to it like a religion that is being questioned. A real scientist would not care, but would examine each conclusion without bias or emotion.
For me, math has to be the deciding factor because it is without this bias or emotion attached. Mathematical probability, as given by Hoyle, states that the chances of life to spontaneously evolve out of a primordial soup is one in 10 to the 40,000 power. Now scientists agree that anything beyond one in 10 to the 50th power is consider an impossibility. So imagine adding 39,950 more zeros onto those odds!
Can we use math in the proof of God? Actually, yes we can. God has provided the proof through prophecy. No other "holy book" can provide prophecy beside the Bible. This traces its origin to be outside of our physical time domain. It reads in Isaiah 41:22-23,
"Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; let them show the former things, what they were, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; yes, do good or do evil, that we may be dismayed and see it together."
So, let's look at this mathematically. Dr. Peter Stoner, in an analysis that was carefully reviewed and pronounced to be sound by the American Scientific Affiliation, states that the probability of just eight prophecies being fulfilled in just one person is 1 in 10 to the 17th power. However, Jesus fuflilled 300 specific prophecies. A few of which I have documented here...
http://www.schneblin.com/studies/pdfs/in...
So, mathematically, the odds are in overwhelming favor of the Creator God written in the pages of the Bible rather than in the overwhelming odds against evolution.
So here we see that it take MORE "faith" to believe in evolution (macro, not micro evolution) than it does to believe the Bible. The laws of probability supports this stance.

I saw an answer to a similar question recently that asserted that evolution required a giant leap of faith in science and scientist. I'm inclined to agree. A human body and psyche comes together in such ab amazing way, is so complex, that the idea that it all came about by chance is more difficult to believe than the idea that some intelligence created it. I'm looking for a quote form Einstein about this. If I find it I'll come back. Here it is This is Einstiens veiw of science and religion:
"The two realms are not entirely self-sufficient. Science needs religion, and religion needs science. As to the former need, he says, "[S]cience can only be created by those who are thoroughly imbued with the aspiration toward truth and understanding. This source of feeling, however, springs from the sphere of religion. To this there also belongs the faith in the possibility that the regulations valid for the world of existence are rational, that is, comprehensible to reason. I cannot conceive of a genuine scientist without that profound faith. The situation may be expressed by an image: science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

It's a scientific theory, based on finding around the earth that supports the notion that living organisms mutate periodically and change, or evolve into more advanced creatures. The human body, for example, is an advanced primate body (less hair, more brain, etc).
Though science can't help but be influenced somewhat by the religious or spiritual beliefs of the scientists, neither are considered as "science."

Chris

Evolution is neither a religion or a spirituality. It is a biological fact. (I'm not talking about the theory of natural selection; I'm talking about the observable behavior of genes over a long period of time).
The belief that evolution will solve all the problems in the world or that we'll evolve into semi-divine beings, however, is a religious belief.

neither. Evolution is a scientific theory. Theory mostly (in my opinion) because most Christians think its absurd and sinful to believe such a thing. so everything is cut down into opinions. and people debate and its a never ending story.

They are called the "American Fascist".
Evolution can't be made to fit, they are discarded or treated as misguided opinions.
The writers of Genesis who wrote about the creation of the world in 7 days knew nothing about the process of creation.
It was written to help us grasp a spiritual truth, not a scientific or historical facts.
Darwinians will tell us they know what is right and wrong in the eyes of God.

It is a scientific observation of a natural occurrence.
I have a feeling you are asking to illustrate that evolution doesn't belong in this section. If that feeling is correct I would like to say; that evolution belongs in this section as long as religionists want to put religious stories in the science classroom.

It is a rational, scientifically based theory. It is neither spiritual or religious. However, many spiritual and religious people believe it to be true.

Evolution is an observation of fact.
Evolution happens, we all evolved from other species, that's a fact.
The mechanisms that cause this evolution to take place are theories... they comprise the "Theory of Evolution"
Remember, GRAVITY is also "only a theory" but you don't hear fundies denying it.
Don't look now, someone has just invented "intelligent falling"
