Before you read this question, Please dont insult someones religion, and tell them ur faith is the best etc. Calmly and Logically explain what u believe. Lets debate brothers and sisters from all religions.

Christian people say that jesus was the son of god, or sometimes god himself, he died for the people's sins.
Muslims(like myself) say that jesus wasnt the son of god, he was a man sent on a mission by god; that god wasnt born from someone as well as he doesnt not have chidlren. And God did not let him die, he pulled him up to heaven because god wouldnt let anyone harm his messenger. And u have to die for ur sins, not someone else i.e jesus.

OK this time I dont want to offend you as you are still muslim. I am ex-muslim. The thing that I learn about Christians is Love, Peace, Forgiveness, Joy. In Christians Hate, Revenge, Violent are Sin. Also in Christians you cannot married more than 1, even I know some christians do but as per Holy bible are not.
I beleive in Jesus Christ as my savior, Son of God. Like muslim beleive in Allah/God of Abraham but full of hate with Christians/Jews/Catholics that are also beleive in God of Abraham. There is nothing wrong with Jesus Christ, but there is something wrong with muhamad that made Quran, full of hate, full of violent and full of discrimination in the name of Allah/God of Abraham. Also that made man have married 4 wife so all the pervert, sex maniac, child molester, rapist can be good man.

As I understand it muslims DO believe God can have children he just hasnt had any yet. We as men can never acheive a perfect pure soul, there are nicer people than some and some are better than others I suppose but we'll always fall short in God's eye on our own. It was written before Jesus ever came in the scripture going all the way back to Moses. John the Baptist was the screaming one in the desert making way for the Messiah. We still must die dont get it twisted! Jesus works in us and God breaks us gently causing us to repent and cry for mercy, which brings us closer to the Holy Father (that is us burying ourselves giving our lives over to the Lord Jesus Christ). I assume you would know all about the cross and how his pure blood saved everyone so I won't go into details. But there is one and only God and the only way any of us will see him is through our Lord Jesus Christ . Amen.

Hello there, your question was articulated well.

Lets look at God's Justice,
From the Christian perspective...

If God is a good God, then he is also a just and righteous God.
For example, if a judge said to a guilty theif that his wrongs can go unpunished, and you can go free without any debt being paid, this would be immoral right? Yes, we as humans know that the law must be carried out, and be satisfied.

So the Christian message says that God sent his son, to take on the punishment of the worlds sin upon himself so that the law would be satisfied, a debt would be paid, and justice may be appeased.

Now, if we go by the Muslim claim in regards to Jesus...

"And God did not let him die, he pulled him up to heaven because god wouldnt let anyone harm his messenger." Then the law and guilt would not be satisfied, God would be unjust because he opted out of any punishment being appeased, and therefore did nothing for us, and left us to pay for our sin ourself...

Which is more just?

Which is more Loving?

I say the Christian message because it demonstrates Gods Justice, his righteousness and yet his amazing love all at the same time.

QUOTE "For greater love have none but this, that he shall lay
down his life for a friend"....

QUOTE "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish
but have everlasting life"

The Christian message says that when we beleive in the Son, all our guilt and shame is then cast upon Christ, and nailed to the cross, someone has taken the blame for you,,, the law is appeased,,, Justice is satisfied,,, and love is poured out for us.

Peace and grace be with you

The Quran asks a question in the 19th Sura:66 muhammed asks when I am dead and buried and go back to dust, is that all? What is going to happen to me? He asks a question and the Quran never answers it. The Bible asks the same question in Job 14:14 if a man dies, shall he live again? The Bible answers the question in St. John 11:25 I am the resurrection and the life, though he were dead shall he live again. The Bible teaches to love thy neighbor. If they use you, love them. If they curse you, love them. If they hurt you, love them. The Quran teaches the opposite. The Bible teaches that The Creator of the Universe is Love, and all He desires is for us to get rid of our sinful ways and have a relationship with Him. The Quran doesn't. These are the only items that I could come up withon short notice. I hope that they shed some light on the subject!!

I believe that Jesus(pbuh) was the messiah just like any prophet sent to mankind.
He performed numerous miracles and proves that there is a higher power working behind these miracles(God).
Jesus never died, historically he did because there was a solid being who looked just like Jesus on the cross(maybe an apostle). What the Quran says is that he was sentenced to Crucifixion but God told Jesus to ask who was willing to die for the love of Jesus. So God accented Jesus into the heavens with him and replaced Jesus with the friend or volunteer.
When Christians say that Jesus is the son of God, i just cant bring it to myself to believe. There is no possible way or reason that God could have begot a son. God is one not three. God begets not, nor is he begotten (Qur'an, 112:3).
Jesus was a prophet, teacher, messiah, miracle worker and someone who was loved by many. That's what i believe about Jesus.

oh yeah and to add something.. that RoseWithin girl is wrong about something. The Qurran does not forbid us to learn about other religions and faiths. IT encourages us and God wants us to learn and seek knowledge. There is a verse that was about God put people of all different tribes and cultures here on earth so we could learn about each other, get along and accept each other not fight with each other.
Just wanted to clarify that.

Like Muslims, we believe that God created everything. In this sense we are all his children, that is why one name we have for God is his Fatther. Like Muslims, we believe that God is omnipotent and can do anything, so if he wanted to have a child, he had a child. Why Muslims feel it is impossible for God to do this is a mystery. Muslims seem to think that we believe God laid with a woman..which is not true at all, and would be considered blasphemy. Like Muslims, we believe he sent an angel who implanted a seed into Mary who was a virgin.

Muslims believe that God saved Jesus from the cross and took him to heaven. A miracle. We believe that Jesus' body died and he rose from the grave, walked the earth for 40 days and then ascended to heaven. A miracle. This was to show us, that if we followed Gods teachings like Jesus we too will have everlasting life. Both religions believe in a miracle. Why do we believe it? Because that is what we were taught, like what you were taught and asking us to explain our belief in the miracle of the resurrection of Christ gets down to the same thing muslims would have when asked to explain why they believe that Jesus was pulled off the cross by God and into heaven...FAITH.

Finally All people, good and bad die. We dont die for our sins, we die because we are mortal. The death Christians refer to will occur at the end times when we we will judged by Jesus. (SAME BELIEF AS ISLAM HAS). Those that are sinful will not ascend to heaven and will die. That is the death Christians avoid with belief in Christ, not death of our bodies, but death of our souls

These discussions are thought provoking however the imporant thing to me is that both Christiand and Jews believe we will face Jesus at the end times and that motivates people of both religions to live according to Gods word. SO ULTIMATELY I THINK IT IS MORE FRUITFUL TO CONCENTRATE ON THIS COMMONALITY THAN OUR DIFFERENCES, OF WHICH YOU CAN SEE ARE MANY.

blood has always had a spiritual significance, as it is called the lifeblood. sin brings about death (spiritually, emotionally, etc).

spiritual life and death cannot exist together. one has to replace the other. so if sin is present, a sacrifice of lifeblood had to be made to neutralize it.

these sacrifices however were inneffective, as they only replaced sin until it happened again. God knew this, so he begat His son eternally (of Himself, still Himself) and allowed Him to be born in the most logical time: a time that echoed how God runs His own Kingdom, and when all the prophesies God made would be fullfilled.

some of God's promises include: I will raise my son in Nazareth, He will be born of David's line, the seed of the WOMAN (not the man) shall bruise the serpant (Satan's) head, the lamb of God will suffer, etc.

Jesus as a man had to cut himself off from some aspects of his Divinity, and now had to be subject to human laws and the laws of man (the ones which God the Father had no problem with, but being God, you have to imagine this was hard). Jesus had to pray like a normal man, eat to live, had a government to adhere to, etc. He now also felt physical pain, and sin surrounded him. At the time, people would think of him as an illegitimate child, unknowledgable or heretical.

Jesus' lifeblood was pure, as he was God, so he was the perfect sacrifice: one that could not only cover sin, but completely eliminate it from the lives of God's people. So died not for himself, but for everyone else.

Jesus actually went to Hell first to regain man's rights and then resurrected himself (destroy this temple, and I will rebuild it in 3 days) in three days. He ascended to Heaven soon after, after showing the disciples he wasn't a ghost, but having a new glorified body.

Jesus had to die. We in a sense die as well, as we "bear our own crosses" ("die" to sin, give up sinful lifestyles).

that clear things up?

I used to be a Christian but I'm not anymore. I still believe in God but I agree with you actually, that Jesus was just a prophet. In the Bible he even says he's not God several times. So is Jesus respected as much as Muhammad is in your faith? Are there any main differences between how you view the two?

It doesn't make more sense to me, but the Christian faith is based on the Ascension, which is that Jesus was the Son of God who died for every ones sins so that they will have eternal life. If Jesus wasn't the son of God, then they can't be saved.

You've already answered your question. Muslims say Christ was just a prophet and Christians know he IS God Personified. This debate is cyclic and won't come to an end until Christ's return.
