I am not sure how any human in this life can be 100% sure there isnt a God. Where is the proof? Ahiests supposedly take pride in science, math, physics, and history, but yet all these fields (&common sense) support Gods existance. Here are brief reasons why.
HISTORY : History scholars agree that the bible is very accurate on it historical accounts regarding, rise & fall of empires, destruction of cities, natural disasters, people, geographical areas, astronomy, etc. If you dont take my account start watching the History Channel and your bound to see some proof
PHYSICS: Energy can NOT be destroyed only transformed. Since the human body is an enormus energy source, once a human dies, the energy doesnt just dissapper. Thus, life after death is possible.
MATH: Prophesies in the bible make it 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 that Jesus wasnt Jesus. check out the book The Case for Christ.
COMMON SENSE: Whats makes more sense we came from nothing or we came from somthing?

I love that you took the time to write this. I applaud you. I read a book that stated the same things you just stated. Now I'm left w/ that same exact question for atheists. "When will you wake up?". But I like to add to it, "The Lord is coming soon, you don't wanna miss it, do you?!?".

God bless.

You wrong on several accounts: the bible containing accurate history doesn't prove God is real. Your understanding of physics is flaw, when your body dies it doesn't turn into energy, it biodegrades. As for the math side of your argument just because Jesus was once a live doesn't mean he was a God or even that he did any miracles. How about the this for common sense assuming that humans have know everything for 2000yrs or that they don't no everything even now.

its better to be a skeptic. but then you get put in the 'atheist' catagory anyhow.

I think its the major religions that put ppl off god as such, alot of them preach peace and love and then kill each other in wars.
you can neither prove or disprove that god exists, im not convinced from the 'history' argument there, its a bit weak.

a big intellegent being? that hates gays, or cares about the pathetic things that humans do? seems unlikely, but that something exists that is beyond our comprehension, that makes energy and life and all the wonders in the world possible? i could go with that. seems science supports that too, it cant explain everything.

so 'god' could exist in the form of energy within us all, but people wrote the bible, as a way of trying to understand existance, doesnt make it right, or wrong, in my eyes.
so saying you are atheist, just means that you dont believe in religion.

well, i dont see the common sence in jesus. Rising from the dead? thats not possible. And I dont think there is such thing as an after life. I think people want to believe that there is such thing so when close members of their family die, they can comfort themselves by saying there now in a better place. If you really think about this whole thing it isnt logical. Preying to a God wont help make things better. What ever is ment to happen will happen regardless of how much you prey. And i think its the christians that need to wake up. Stop pushing all your beliefs on other people. They all think that they're such good people becuase they're following in jesus's footsteps. Well, how do you even know that jesus is real. think what you want to think, but i dont think its real. And ever christian church i have been to try so much to bring more members in. And i think its becuase they want to bring more money in. Christian parents are taught to brain wash their kids. They teach them to not think of anything else and to not question jesus. That is wrong, parents need to let their kids have their own mind and own beliefs.

I find it hard to believe that everything had to come from something and yet that something doesn't follow the same rules. Somehow God is exempt from the rules that apply to EVERYTHING else.

Common sense says that a loving God would not allow a small african baby to starve to death and have vultures pecking at his arms and legs before he's even dead.

Why would God create a person if he knew (through omniscience) that this person would grow up to become a 'Heathen'???

All your 'proofs' of the truth of the Bible are delusional misinterpretations.

So you're not sure that any human in this life can be 100% sure there isnt a God, but telling us to read and believe a scripture that was written by man (that is therefore fallible) is 100% proof there is.

Gee, I woke up this morning - do it every day, in fact. You make broad statements without any support - just contentions. You also imply that atheism is, by definition, an absolute belief that there is not a god. Atheists simply do not happen to believe in god(s). That's it. a=not, theist=believing in god. We have various philosophical and academic views about it, but the bottom line is that belief in god(s) is not true for us. That really is it, no matter how much you want to say it is otherwise or how much you are invested in (wrongly) characterizing us to suit your agenda.

wake up to what? the truth? nobody knows the truth. nobody is 100% sure. beliefs are a matter of opinion. no matter what you say or think . there may be alot of evidence that supports both sides or one side. but there is no solid proof. its "best guess" just like science. Athiests should be given the same respect as christians and likewise. you dont really have the right to tell others to wake up when in all reality...you're sleeping right along side of them.

you aren't talking about A god, your talking about YOUR god.
i believe in divinity, but i do not believe it could possibly be completely personified into a 'being', although it can be partially symbolized that way.
History: so the authors the bible were big on current events, so what? does that prove the existance of your god? no
Physics: one word: reincarnation
Math: your example is so random...
Common Sense: in your creationism, we came from "nothing" and what's more logical, that people came from other similar organisms that changed over time, or that we were formed from mud?

so, what's your proof again?

I feel like sleeping in.

History: Just because certain parts may be true doesn't mean everything is true.

Physics: That still doesn't prove that there is life after death.

Math: Huh?

Common Sense: Just because we might have came from something doesn't automatic mean it was like how the Bible said it was.

When will YOU wake up in realizing that different people have different beliefs?

History: I read a comic book where Superman beat up the Nazis.

Physics: If energy is not destroyed, it is also not created. Where were you before you were born?

Math: Is the Matrix 3 proof that the Oracle was a prophet?
